There’s a word in Arabic, “sihha”. It’s pronounced pretty much the same as the drell “siha”.

“Sihha” means “health”.

So basically, if Shepard romances Thane and he starts calling her “siha”, he literally means she’s his health - she’s healing him.

I think I’ll go laugh bitterly. And then cry a little.

I think I figured out what was bothering me most about that Thane/Irikah post in the Shrios tag the other day.

Good Thane thoughts by people.

Always fantastic.

But I personally don’t remember anything about Irikah being weak? Maybe I’m being selective in my memory- and I only did read one post once (and can’t find it again). I remember something along the lines that Irikah and Thane were ultimately incompatible and even without the batarians Thane likely would have lost her anyway. Which to me is fairly canon considering how he talks about the marriage. But that also doesn’t diminish their love or Irikah’s strength (because the woman was very strong- just in a different way from Shepard which some people seem to have a problem grasping. Fandoms usually seem to have problems with the quiet strength).

So I feel like I’m forgetting something from the original post.
